PLANS UNDERWAY FOR SNOW FEST 2010

Friday November 26 & Saturday November 27

The Natchitoches Historic District Business Association has added Snow Fest to the lineup of events planned for the 84th annual Festival of Lights.

The highlight of Snow Fest will be the premiere of a snow hill for the first time in a city in Louisiana.  The snow hill is tubing down 110′ feet of totally awesome winter fun and will be located on the downtown riverbank below Front Street.  Forty thousand pounds (40,000#) of ice will be used.  There is a height restriction of 42″.  Admission will be charged.

Visitors on this weekend will also have the opportunity to purchase a souvenir photo of their visit.  Tickets for both activities will be available on the downtown riverbank.

The downtown merchants will be open late throughout the holiday season.  For additional information call 800-259-1714.
