Welcome to Natchitoches, Louisiana’s oldest community, established in 1714.  The mission of the Historic District Business Association (HDBA)  is to make the downtown historic district the #1 destination for visitors by developing and enhancing the Historic District and promoting Downtown as a destination for local residents with events and activities.

There are over 36 shops and restaurants in the downtown historic district all within walking distance.   Carriage rides are available for a guided tour of the historic district and “Steel Magnolia” filming sites.

Annually the Association hosts a Classic Car Show during the first weekend in October along with the Holiday Open House to premiere the Festival of Lights on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
